Imran Khan’s Son Raises Alarm, Demands Proof That His Father Is Alive

In a dramatic and emotional public statement, Qasim Khan, the younger son of former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan, has accused the Pakistani government of holding his father in complete isolation and preventing any contact with family members. Posting on Instagram, Qasim warned that the family has “no proof of life” and held prison authorities responsible for Imran’s safety.

Qasim’s Alarming Claims

Qasim stated that Imran Khan has been under detention for 845 days, and for the past six weeks, he has been kept in solitary confinement inside a death-row cell with zero transparency.
He noted that:

  • A silent, unofficial ban on family visits has been in place for over a month.

  • Despite court orders, his sisters have been repeatedly denied permission to meet him.

  • There have been no phone calls, no meetings, and no updates confirming whether Imran Khan is alive.

Qasim said both he and his brother Suleman have not received any contact from their father for more than a month.

He described the situation as a deliberate attempt to hide Imran Khan’s condition and prevent the family from knowing whether he is safe.

Direct Warning to Pakistan’s Government

Qasim warned Pakistani authorities that they would be held legally, morally, and internationally accountable for Imran Khan’s safety and any consequences of this “inhuman isolation.”

He appealed to the world, saying:

“I call upon the international community, global human rights organizations, and every democratic voice to intervene. Demand proof of life, enforce court orders, end this inhumane isolation, and call for the release of Pakistan’s most popular political leader—jailed solely for political reasons.”

PTI Demands Immediate Proof & Family Visits

Imran Khan’s party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has demanded an official explanation and immediate family access amid growing speculation.

Government Denies All Allegations

Pakistani authorities have strongly denied the claims.
The Adiala Jail administration said Imran Khan:

  • has not been relocated,

  • is completely safe, and

  • is receiving full medical care.

Defense Minister Khawaja Asif insisted that Imran Khan is being treated better than most prisoners.
He claimed Imran enjoys:

  • a luxury food menu “better than five-star hotels, ”

  • access to a television,

  • exercise equipment, and

  • a velvet mattress.

Protests Outside Adiala Jail

Imran Khan’s three sisters and PTI workers staged a protest outside Adiala Jail on Wednesday, demanding visitation rights.
The protest ended after jail officials assured them that a meeting would soon be arranged. The sisters are expected to be allowed to meet Imran today or on Tuesday.
